During Tiger Fest, Justin Verlander was asked by a female fan,
“You’ve won the Cy Young and the MVP… but are we ever going to see you get a hit?”
Benoit clearly found that to be amusing. Verlander laughs and says, “If that was a guy that asked that question, I’d say ‘come up here, you’ll see me hit you’.”
After some laughter, Verlander answers, “This is my year! I’ve said that for seven years, ‘this is my year, this is it!’”
